It's Time to Put Politics Aside.
It's no longer a matter of whether you're a Republican or a Democrat, or right or left. If we truly care about keeping our borough sovereign, we need to act now. We have two paths we can take a path to a solid future and prosperity, the other the status quo. The status quo will not work. That's why it's time for change in our borough government. My name is Ed Oswald, and I am a Democrat running for Borough Council here in Sinking Spring. I have lived here for a good portion of my life. As any resident here knows, our community is tightly knit. But the future and viability of our borough is in question if we do not act. We can not sit idly by as our commercial real estate stands vacant. If we do, the burden gets shifted to the resident. In a tough economy, the last thing we need is a tax increase. But that's exactly what we'll get if we can not revitalize the borough and prepare it for the realities of a 21st Century economy. That's why I support the revitalization effort. What we need is our local government to be responsive and understanding of our needs and concerns. We need responsible leadership, we need honesty and accountability free of using the office for personal gain or to settle personal vendettas. As your councilman, you will see that accountability is something I take very seriously. Sinking Spring residents deserve nothing less. I humbly ask for your vote in November. - Ed VOTE NOVEMBER 3! Election day is fast approaching, and we need the support of Republicans, Democrats, and Independents in the General Elections! Need to know how and when to vote? See our Voter Info page. Want to speak with us about an issue in the borough? Use the Contact page. If you would like to volunteer to work the polls for Ed and other Democratic candidates, please also get in touch with us. Every vote counts, and we'd love to have you aboard! Show Your Support With a Sign
If you would like one, please e-mail us with your location and we'll stop by and give you a sign. Please note that those living in the borough will obviously have priority. Please do not remove one of the signs from public areas -- while we appreciate your support, those signs help to increase visibility. |
